What this is about
Welcome to the Gulftech Agentic Hackathon. Your entity has nominated you, so your first step is your team: a lead creates it here and invites three to four colleagues. Then submit your use-case in the Idea round before 17 September — that submission is your application, and the twenty teams that advance are selected from it. Everything else you need is in this portal: the schedule, the enablement content, your mentors, and where you hand work in.
A programme for KSA Government entities. Cross-functional teams of four to five turn a real ministry workflow into a working Agentic AI prototype on the Microsoft Cloud — built in a governed Azure sandbox, mentored throughout, and demonstrated live to an executive jury in Riyadh. Eight weeks from launch to demo day, judged against a published 100-mark rubric, with the top solutions entering a DGA and Microsoft incubation review.
Who it's for
Employees nominated by their Government entity — business and process owners, data and IT professionals, and digital-transformation leads. Teams are deliberately cross-functional: the business context and the build capability sit in the same squad. No prior hackathon experience required.

FAQ
Who can take part?
Employees of KSA Government entities, nominated by their entity. Teams are four to five people and should be cross-functional — the business owner who knows the workflow, and the people who will build the agent.
How does our entity enter a team?
One person registers and creates the team in the portal, then shares the invite code with three or four colleagues. An entity may nominate more than one team.
How are the twenty teams selected?
Every team submits its use-case in the Idea round before 17 September. Submissions are evaluated against a published screening rubric and the twenty teams advancing are announced on 24 September.
What do we have to build?
A working Agentic AI prototype on the Microsoft Cloud — Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Fabric and the Power Platform — running in the governed Azure sandbox provided. On the final day the jury interacts with the solution, so slideware alone does not qualify.
Does it cost anything?
No. Participation, enablement content, mentorship, the Azure sandbox and the in-person final day are all provided.
Who owns what we build?
Your entity retains ownership of what your team creates. Mentors, judges and organisers receive access only to review and score the submission.
